Rules for Tolly's 46th Annual Singles Tournament

  1. This tournament is sanctioned by U.S.B.C.and will be conducted under the rule of U.S.B.C.Women members only.All bowler must show U.S.B.C. membership cards when checking in. Non-sanctioned bowlers may pay associate membership fee of $21.00
  2. Handicap will be 90% of the difference between the highest average and 210. No limit on handicap.
  3. Entrants must use their highest U.S.B.C. average of any one league as of the end of 2008-2009.Winter session (must have at least 21 games). Summer league average shall not be used ,if no previous Winter session average,the highest current average as of February 4, 2010 (must have at least 21 games)shall be used. All other bowlers scratch. The "10"or more pin increase of rule 319a-2 does not apply. U.S.B.C. Rule 319d (reporting of winnings) does not apply. Rule 319e (15 or more pin increase in average) does not apply.
  4. It shall be Each Bowler Responsibility to determine that the submitted average is correct, whether submitted by the Bowlers, Squad Leader or Others. (Rule 319a-3) Failure to use the correct average shall disqualify score if submitted average is lower than correct average thereby resulting in a lower classification or more handicap. Prize winning shall be based on the submitted average if it is higher than the correct average. However, corrections in averages may be permitted up to the completion of the first game of a series. All claims for errors other than obvious error in scoring must be reported within 24 hours.
  5. In case of error disclosed by average verification, score will be lowered,not raised.
  6. No entry moneywill be returned after enteries close.U.S.B.C. Rule 314
  7. Bowlers arriving late shall begin play and the score shall count beginning with the frame being bowled.
  8. All substitutions must be submitted to a Tournament Official one half hour before scheduled time of bowling.
  9. Any protest affection eligibility or general playing rules must be confirmed in writing to the Tournament Director before prize payments are made.
  10. In the event of tie for first place handicap prize money, co-champions will be named and 1st and 2nd prize money will be divided equally.If ties for 1st place scratch, money will be divided for 1st and 2nd prize.
  11. Entrants may cash only once in prize list, either scratch or handicap, whichever has greater value of prize money. If money is equal, scratch prize will be awarded.
  12. A bowler may bowl more than once, but only cash once,for highest score.
  13. Each bowler may reschedule only one time.
  14. No U.S.B.C. Youth bowlers may enter the tournament.
  15. All women employees of PLA-MOR LANES are eligible to participate in this tournament.
  16. Premature terminations of tournament brought about by War, National emergency,or emergency cause relating thereto or therefrom fire ,natural disaster or any other reason beyond the control of PLA-MOR,shall cause to the extent required therby,all advertising prizes, guaranteed or otherwise to be prorated in accordance with the number of entrants.
  17. No special squad prizes.
